We're One in a Million!
In 2019, DAR welcomed our one millionth member to the National Society. Join us and you, too, can be One in a Million! Prospective DAR members For those interested in joining the DAR, visit www.dar.org, and enter your information in the Membership Interest page located in the Become a Member section. There, you can specify that you are interested in joining the Louis Joliet Chapter, NSDAR. You may also connect with us directly using the contact form on this page. Who is eligible to join DAR? Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her patriot ancestor. To assist in your research, the NSDAR Ancestor Search database lists ancestors on whom members of the National Society have joined. This listing is continually updated as new and supplemental membership applications are approved. Need help with your research? Fill out a Pedigree Chart (PDF) as completely as you can and bring it with you when you meet with our chapter representative. She will be able to guide you through the application process. |
