PatriotismWe support our active duty military and we honor and serve our veterans from the American Revolution to the present by recognizing them and participating in causes such as DAR Project Patriot, Honor Flight Chicago, and our role as a Commemorative Partner of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. The DAR was founded October 11, 1890, and was incorporated in 1896, by an Act of Congress. NSDAR is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to preserving our American history, securing America's future through better education, and promoting patriotism. It is the mission of the Daughters of Louis Joliet Chapter, NSDAR, to honor our revolutionary ancestors, take pride in our country, and to willingly provide service to our communities by following the DAR Motto: God, Home, and Country.
